Conference Venue

The 2018 Ohio Conference on Freight’s conference venue and hotel room block returns to the elegant Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza situated in downtown Cincinnati. The AAA Four Diamond listed hotel is a National Historic Landmark and is a charter member of Historic Hotels of America. The hotel is a short 15 minute drive from the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) and has dozens of shops and eateries within walking distance. Also notable, the hotel is adjacent to the Carew Tower complex where you can view three states from the Carew Tower Observation Deck, the tallest elevated building in the city. A fitness center, indoor pool and business center are available for your use.

Pre-Conference Events – Ohio Riverboat Cruise & Reds vs. Indians Game

Should you partake in the optional activities of the Ohio Riverboat Cruise or the Reds vs. Indians baseball game outing, please note you must pre-register for either activity along with your conference registration (no refunds will be available, activities take place rain or shine).

Ohio Riverboat Cruise (Weds., August 15) –  The Queen City Clipper will be docked at the Public Landing off of Mehring Way on the Cincinnati side of the river. You may begin boarding at Noon, there is paid parking available. You may also meet in the Hilton hotel lobby at 11:30 a.m. and the group will walk to the Public Landing, which is about nine blocks away.  Please note there is no ticket for this activity, we will have a list of names of those who registered for this excursion. Those registered for the conference will get their name badge and conference materials when you check-in on the boat. A lunch buffet and complimentary water/soft drinks will be provided (cash bar available).

Reds vs. Indians Baseball Game (Weds., August 15) – Please meet in the Hotel lobby at 6:15 p.m.  Game tickets will be distributed at this time and we will walk as a group to Great American Ball Park (about 6-7 blocks away). We are seated together in section 144, center field. We will also receive a complimentary scoreboard welcome that will begin to run during innings 3-5.
